As AI industry make its place in daily life on any individuals many banking business, financial institution, trading platform etc. are starting to see the benefits of using AI. For now, big banking companies are using and testing the AI to improve their work and to make their platform secure for customers.
A key segment in which banks and other financial institutions use artificial intelligence is fraud detection and prevention. While researching, we came to interesting data in which AI can help financial institutions.
Fraud Detection and Prevention.
1. Real-time analysis of Vast Datasets.
AI algorithm can analyses massive data transactions, user behavior and other information in real time. The real time Analyze allows immediate identification of suspicious activities that cannot be identified by the traditional work of bank employees.
2. Anomaly Detection.
In this case AI Machine learning algorithms can see customer’s behavior, accounts and transaction patterns. Any unusual transaction amounts, locations or logging attempts can trigger alerts and further investigation.
3. Behavioral Biometrics.
AI can analyze user behaviors like typing speed, mouse movements, login times, and even device tilt patterns to detect anomalies that could signal account takeover.
4. Predictive Modeling.
By learning from historical fraud, AI can build predictive models to stop future fraud activity and proactively prevent it.
5. Risk Scoring.
AI can analyses risk scores to transactions and user accounts based on various factors.
6. Network Analysis.
Analyzing relationships and connections between accounts and transaction to uncover fraud and identify potential compromised entities.
7. Natural Language Processing or (NLP).
Is a technique that can be used to analyze text data like emails, messages and social media to detect phishing attempts, scams
8. Identity Verification.
AI system can verify user-provident information, for example identification documents and facial recognition data to prevent identity theft during account opening and transaction.
9. Adaptive learning.
Unlike any static rule based system this AI model continuously learn from new data (adapting and evolving) in fraud tactics to improve their detection over time.
There are still many open questions about whether AI will be useful to people in cases where one of your family members, at your request, goes to an ATM and tries to withdraw money. This is an open question for now, but we hope that in the future we will face such a case and of course get an answer.
As the system advanced the best way to use AI in Fraud Detection and Prevention are not a static process but rather an ongoing process of exploration, implementation and continuous refinement which will provide new jobs for IT AI experts in the near future
